Mormon Lives Matter

Pg. 64 The Savior left a throne to inherit a manger. He exchanged the Dominion of a God for the dependence of a babe. He gave up wealth, power, dominion and the fullness of his glory - for what? - for taunting, mocking, humiliation and subjection. It was a trade of unparalleled dimension, a condescension of incredible proportions, a Descent of incalculable depth- and so, the great Jehovah, Creator of Worlds without number infinite, in virtue and Power, made his entry into this world in swaddling clothes and a Manger. 

There was this little card about free online Bible study from JW.org. And since it's been my goal to read the whole Old Testament I thought I'd also supplement it with this course. I'm just beginning it but also it asks some good questions.  Psalm 119:105 NUN. 105   Thy word  is  a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. To feel like we are literally light on our feet is a metaphorical expression of fitness and vigor. I also want to be spiritually fit, like Kent Tallman.  I was listening to the 3rd century of the restoration with Patrick Mason and him talking about how the members of our church are going to save the earth by being the salt of the earth. Just a pinch by getting lovingly involved with disciples everywhere, worldwide. 

 He can cover and expunge all and any sin, grief, heartache. He can power us through his love, knowledge and brilliance. Anything is possible through Christ. Anything & more. Christ "has all power, all wisdom, and all understanding; he comprehendeth all things" (Alma 26:35) Jacob: "There is not anything save he knows it." (2 Nephi 9:20). He has mastered each and every law. He is polylingual; there is no such thing as a foreign language to him. He knows the cure for every virus, every disease, and every ailment. He has created worlds without number. Nothing escapes his grasp. What does this mean for me? I don't have to worry. I can pray and be saved from my anxiety, emotions, relationships with the intent to change.

Reading the scriptures to Dawson tonight I explained that a gentile is a non-believer. I told him that Jesus can give real passion and power and peace to people that believe in Jesus. I told him after my brain surgery I wasn't able to talk very well but peace spoke to my heart with the him and Christian song I remembered. Chris Tomlin love ran red. Then he wanted to know more about my experience and how Jesus can give us peace and Power. And I told him I had a lot of peace and joy when I was going through radiation and chemotherapy when I should have been upset and stressed. And Dawson said "that's your miracle." It was the miracle! 

Pg. 133 So we confronted our fear, accepted responsibility for our behavior and resolved to make the best amends we could.  For direct amends we sought to make reparations to those we had harmed, financially or otherwise. In some situations, we could only acknowledge our responsibility and our regret and change our behavior. As Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions tells us, "we consider how, with our newfound knowledge of ourselves, we may develop the best possible relations with every human being we know."(77)

Since Bishop Allen radmall help me recover and check in Daily and meet with me weekly having eternally grateful for him and asking God to bless him weekly and sometimes daily. I thought about him frequently and owed a lot to him in terms of my recovery and marriage to renee. I called him today expressed my gratitude and was very emotional he was grateful and talked about the powering atonement and mercy of Christ and his approach and asking God to help him as a new bishop. I told him that I've been sober in recovering for 6 plus years and he was very grateful. He also talked about outside the Bountiful Temple he spoke with my dad and it was wonderful to share words and tears with my dad. It is a privilege and a blessing to have these kinds of incredible relationships born out of pain and sorrow that turned to Joy and spiritual connection. I'll never forget hugging him in the temple of right after our sealing. 

We watched season 43 of survivor and were shocked that Gabler swept the vote and donated the $1 Million to veterans. He said that he is rich with his wife and kids and said it was a team effort and also highlighted Ryan's dad who is a vet. He was gracious and positive in thanking the jury and making history. It was a beautiful moment and I prayed for more people like him to be influential in positions of money and power.
