Atonement like the depth of the ocean

P. 96 The savior's plunge into Humanity was not a toe dipping experience. It was total immersion. His life was not a random sampling, a spot audit: it was a total confrontation with an internalization of every human experience, every human flight, every human trial. Somehow his sponge alone what absorb the entire ocean of human affliction, weakness, and suffering.

Samuel shocks Saul, 1 Samuel 9

Reading in 1 Samuel 9 it introduces a character named Saul that is tall and handsome and a Benjamite. He's looking for donkeys with his servant when he finds Samuel, he tell him to dine with him, where to find his donkeys, helps him with the gift of prophesy and tells him exactly what to do the next day and God changes Saul's heart! Amazing, that in this instance, they are referring to Samuel as a seer, he is acting in that role specifically to Saul, when the Israelites want a king against God's advisement. God says: You want a king like everyone else around you? But here's warnings: they tax you, they take land and animals from you; it's not in your best interest! Israelites: But we want a king like everyone else! So God has Samuel set up a king in Saul.
