So we confronted our fear, accepted responsibility for our behavior and resolved to make the best amends we could. 
For direct amends we sought to make reparations to those we had harmed, financially or otherwise. In some situations, we could only acknowledge our responsibility and our regret and change our behavior.

As Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions tells us, "we consider how, with our newfound knowledge of ourselves, we may develop the best possible relations with every human being we know."(77)
